I'm unable to reproduce with a current daily (20120416).
Do you still see it in your test environment and if so, can you provide more details?

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  In the Edubuntu options screen for selecting software, some of the
  tick-boxes seem half-ticked, making it appear that some software in
  those selections would not be installed.

  However, they are fully ticked and it may cause some confusion.

  (at least, it did for me)
