I was unable to recreate this bug by installing Ubuntu from an amd64 iso
dated 20120417 and choosing btrfs for my separate /home and /
partitions.

Title:
No user home directory created on clean install using btrfs
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Did clean install from 12.04 beta CD image (downloaded 5th April from
the UK mirror). All OK except no home directory for initial user was
created.
As a result could not log in to graphical shell until a home directory
had been created.
/home was configured for it's own partition. I don't know if that was
a factor.
