Thanks for replying.
For further notice, the hardware was a 1GB DDR3 RAM netbook Acer Aspire
D255, and the distro was 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04 Desktop.
I did attempted to install in livecd mode when failed. I did not open more
than a gnome-terminal con the unity session.
In the install only mode it was successfully achieved.
A warning in the installer about low mem devices would be nice.
