  I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 on a virtual machine - VirtualBox. Got past
  the installation uneventfully (I'm a newbie) on Virtualbox, where I
  had repeatedly failed with WUBI. I was installing updates and some new
  software from the Ubuntu Software Center when I received the notice
  about some bug.
