Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Repeated attempts to clean install of precise pangolin fail to
  install. Message reads: Installation failed, the installer has
  encountered an unrecoverable error. A desktop session will now be run
  so that you may investigate the problem or try installing again.

  A further window apears to submit error report but also fails due to
  internal error. basics of error reported reads, /usr/lib/i386-linux-
  gnu/colord/colord
