seems that there is a problem with the disk to which you are trying to
install Ubuntu.  I'd recommend performing a back up of your existing
operating system and then investigating the situation.  Measures you
might take include checking cable connections for your disks and using
software tools to investigate the health of your hardware.  In the event

Bug description:
  Why not allow a fast install of a Lubuntu Lite ISO much less than 688.3 MB with only GUI and to allow basic cable and Wifi internet connection. Once connected the user can then choose the programs they wish to add with a helpful list of suggested apps being supplied. Rather like a grown up Tiny Core.
  The present install takes hours and many packages are not wanted.
  Lubuntu is supposed to be fast and sleek.
