  dpkg-reconfigure settings lost on reboot

Status in “console-setup” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  When I run sudo dpkg-reconfigure console-setup I choose UTF-8,
  Latin1,Terminus,12x6.  Upon reboot, the Terminus and 12x6 settings are
  lost, making me run the command again each reboot.
