Is this still an issue with a later daily build of quantal? If so can
you manually check the md5sum of the file on the USB disk and add it to
the bug report? Thanks in advance.

Title:
Check disk for defects fail on MD5 checksum for A3 quantal i386 Server

Status in “debian-installer” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Running the 'Check disk for defects' fails with 'The ./install/netboot
  /ubuntu-installer/i386/pxelinux.cfg/default file failed the MD5
checksum verification. Your CD-ROM or this file may have been
  corrupted.' error message.

Constantly reproducible, on quantal-server-i386 downloaded from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-server/daily/20120724.5/quantal-server-i386.iso which is seemingly identical to
  http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-server/daily/20120725.4/quantal-server-i386.iso

The installation media was created on a USB using Startup Disk
  Creator.
