Title:
  Lots of DeprecationWarnings (server+console+first boot)

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

  Lucid beta, two pages of scrolled Deprecation warnings on first login
  from apt-check and friends;

  apt_pkg.Configuration.Set()
  apt_pkg.GetCache()
  apt_pkg.GetDepCache()
  apt_pkg.DepCache.ReadPinFile()
  apt_pkg.DepCache.Init()
  apt_pkg.DepCache.BrokenCount
  apt_pkg.DepCache.Upgrade
  apt_pkg.DepCache.DelCount
  apt_pkg.Cache.Packages
  apt_pkg.DepCache.MarkedInstall
  apt_pkg.Packages.CurrentVersion
  apt_pkg.DepCache.GetCandidateVer
  apt_pkg.Version.FileList
  apt_pkg.PackageFile.Archive
  apt_pkg.Package.VersionList
  apt_pkg.Version.VerStr

  I guess that normally a user wouldn't notice, but all the errors on
  firstboot/firstlogin gives a really bad impression.
