Well, there's the ~30second pause in the dmesg - not obvious why though; do you still have this bug on this hardware?
If so what external devices do you have connected?

Title:
Message "Starting up" and nothing happens for about 30 secs
Status in “grub2” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: grub
When I start lucid lynx with Grub a message "Starting up" apears for
about 30 seconds and nothing happens (no disk activity). I am not
sure, whether Grub is the problem but maybe you could look in the
"dmesg" file and you could direct me to the right package ... or you
maybe know the solution or the problem ... ?
Thanks in advance
Daniel
PS: Beside these little bugs, I am really impressed from Ubuntu 10.04:
great work!
