I did the purge. It still reports the same errors with all the xorg-
video stuff. I searched for all the drivers that contain "sarvatt" to
force versions to what comes from lucid updates. Synaptic wants to
remove 576 programs, things like most of gnome and kde. Looks like I
will give up on doing a dist update. Thanks for your help.
