On some systems, GRUB2.00 fails to install on the MBR  (but shows no
error).


2 examples:
1) on 12.10 http://askubuntu.com/questions/224857/ubuntu-12-10-windows-8-dual-boot-tried-boot-repair-dual-os-option-not-show
2) on 12.10 http://paste.ubuntu.com/1402172  , and GRUB1.99 worked: http://paste.ubuntu.com/1407156/
