  boot to grub-recovery after software updater updates grub binary on

  Expired

Bug description:
  i'm running dual boot system, for some reason, after a software
  updater on 12.10, grub never can load the correct binary.  My system
  is on /dev/sdc/

  To reproduce, install grub to /sda but boot to /sdc

  should not boot to grub-recovery after a software update


  root at lubuntu:/home/lubuntu# grub-install  --boot-
  directory=/media/lubuntu/8f3b3f46-97a9-45f2-8566-368a6785e727/boot/
  /dev/sda

  ^above is the line i use to fix the broken grub with an old 12.10
  livecd
