Title:
Black screen on first login after OEM installation
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Status in “ubiquity” source package in Quantal:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Quantal Desktop 20121012.3 amd64/i386
After end user setup, during an OEM installation on Virtual Box and KVM, the screen switch to black instead of starting lightdm.
I'm filing against ubiquity because I haven't find evidence which component is responsible of this issue.
The system works, the user can switch to a console with alt+arrow,
lightdm starts correctly on next boots. It is reproducible in VBox and
KVM.
/var/log/ directory attached.
