Title:
gparted ignores bas partition table and presumes none
Status in “gparted” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: gparted
gparted ignores bad partition tables and presumes there is none.
e.g. if partitions overlap, or a logical partition is flagged as physical, or a partition goes beyond disk boundaries etc, instead of reporting these errors (as parted does) gparted pretends there is no partition at all.
Thats a nice way to lose all the data on the disk.
