Title:
  gparted should disable suspension

Status in “gparted” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: gparted

I was using maverick live cd gparted in order to expand a partition on
a laptop, but the operation never got to an end because of
  autosuspension feature.

Being gparted's operations long and very critical, it should disable
every type of suspension, freeze, etc., until it gets to the end of
  the operations.
