Title:
update-manager crashed with SystemError in requiredDownload()

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: update-manager

Right after upgrading to Maverick from 10.04 another run of update-
manager gave the option to "partial upgrade". This was likely because
the latest kernel could not be properly installed during the upgrade.
Partial upgrade however, crashes each time it is run.
