Does it get back if you press ctrl+alt+f1 and then ctrl+alt+f7 ?
Can you please find out the current key/scan code of that key with
"keymap -i", as described on /usr/share/doc/udev/README.keymap.txt.gz ?

Bug description:
I have a Dell XPS M1330. On this computer, the Fn+right arrow key
combination should change the keyboard backlight. Pressing the key
combination, however, leads to complete loss of keyboard input to any
program. Keyboard input can only be restored by rebooting my computer.
