  end-request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0

Status in “syslinux” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

  Installation from Usb is impossible if the system doesn't have a floppy drive.
  Tested on Maverick 20100724 and 20100725.
  Same images work well if burned onto a CD.
  If i connect a floppy drive the installation go well.
  See attached screenshot.
