Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Ubuntu 10.10 reached EOL on april 10 2012.
See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

It is recommended to upgrade Ubuntu 10.04 to 12.04. They are both LTS
releases and it is possible to upgrade directly without going through
the other unsupported releases.

If the bug is still reproducible from 10.04 to 12.04, increase the
verbosity of the steps to recreate it so we can try again.

Do feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
