Public bug reported:

PC with dual-boot Windows7 /Ubuntu.

After upgrading from 10.04 to 12.04, the grub menu went away (no GRUB
menu at all, so no access to any OS).

Remark : after reinstalling GRUB into the MBR of sdb, the grub menu came back, which restored access to Ubuntu.
But still no access to Windows7.

See BootInfo log: http://paste.ubuntu.com/1078445

** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
