Public bug reported:

Pandaboard ES, armhf-omap4 Alpha3 20120725.3. Using an already
configured, ext4, single partition memory stick causes partman/kernel to
fail to recognise the volume.

Installation can continue, and retrying "detect disks" will now show the
memory stick as /dev/sda.

** Affects: partman-base (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Medium
         Status: New
