Title:
  mysql-server was uninstalled during upgrade

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
When upgrading from Lucid to Pecise via do-release-upgrade -d the
  mysql-server package was removed.

I suspect that this is because the machine is used as my mythtv-
backend server, which did not have the mythbuntu-backend-master meta
package installed (The MythTv installation predates this package
  provided by the mythbuntu team)

The workaround is to installi the mysql-server package, which for me
successfully picked up the old databases and users, requiring me to
simply provide a new root password.

All though I may have 'autoremoved' the package, I don't belive I did
since MythTV complained during the installation that it couldn't
  connect to the mysql socket.
