Is this bug still valid with currently supported Ubuntu versions?

Title:
partitioner deletes all partitions without authorisation duing install

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Using Ubuntu 8.10 x86-64

My hard drive is partitioned into 3 primary partitions (3 x NTFS
(WinXP, Music, and Photos). And two logical linux partitions (main and
a swap) from a previous install of Ubuntu Studio 8.04 x86-64.

I expect that when i get to the partitioner during the install it
should show me all my partitions and allow me to select which ones to
delete so i can install a fresh Linux.

The partitioner shows me the whole hard drive as one unformatted
partition. I then can't boot back into windows, so i have to use a
tool called testdisk which analyses the hard-drive and put the
partition table back together. No data is deleted, but it seems if you
have a full hard-drive (ie partitions take up the entire hard drive
space) then partitioner will delete all the partitions even before you
  say its ok to.
