Title:
update-manager gets confused when selecting package 'apt-transport-
https'
Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
The last update finished on 2012-06-09 11:27:14.
Now update-manager shows 23 important security updates with the
packages 'apt' and 'apt-transport-https' among them. For now I just
wanted to update the apt-related packages, so I did the following:
- Uncheck 'Important security updates'.
- Select package 'apt' -> update-manager says "1 update has been selected"
- Select package 'apt-transport-https'.
At this point update-manager removes the selection from package 'apt'
and says that "113 updates have been selected", but it still shows
only the original 23 updateable packages.
Selecting 'apt-transport-https' alone does not trigger this behavior.
