Title:
  Use of uninitialized value in string eq at ./generate-interfaces.pl
  line 94

Status in “ifupdown” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ifupdown

  I ran the generate-interfaces.pl file in order to know more.

  It gave an error

  Use of uninitialized value in string eq at ./generate-interfaces.pl
  line 94

  the 94th line in generate.interface.pl is this

  if ($iface{$if}->{"ipv4"} eq "yes") {

  please fix it.

  b. Also from what I understand it now needs a dns-nameserver for
  /etc/network/interfaces file to work. This also needs to be included
  in the perl script if possible.
