Even if written here is outdated i still have that problem.

After last very kernel upgrade

ii linux-image-3.2.0-2-686-pae 3.2.15-1 Linux 3.2 for modern PCs

i have to boot manually again.
I tried to reinstall grub with grub-install /dev/sda1,
but on next reboot i need to enter linux /vmlinuz root=/dev/sda1 ... and so on to boot!
How can i debug this situation.

Thanks

Title:
grub errors after every kernel version upgrade

Status in “grub2” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
With almost every kernel upgrade, now and before(kubuntu - 10.04. 10.11 , 11.04 and 11.11) grub fails to install proper , so every time i need to enter:
  > linux (hd0,1)/vmlinuz root=/dev/sda1
  > initrd (hd0,1)/initrd.img
  > boot

As you see it is trivial system with one hdd.
Just before 11.11 i decide that my hdd isn't proper formated, so i've backup my data and i made new clean install.
Now again with new kernel version the situation is the same as before, i have to manual boot from grub shell.
I think there is something very wrong with grub version in Ubuntu, and my searches in Google gives big count of
results related to : Cannot start ubuntu after kernel upgrade,
My versions is Kubuntu if this is important.

  Thanks
