ISO9660 Joliet extensions have a filename length limit of 64 characters
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joliet_%28file_system%29) which is
probably the cause. Should the CDs be built with Rock Ridge extensions
as well to increase the limit to 255
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_Ridge)?

Title:
xserver-xorg-video-all fails to install from ubuntu-12.04-alternate-
amd64.iso
Status in “pkgsel” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
To reproduce:
- Download ubuntu-12.04-alternate-amd64.iso, sha256sum: f8d54df0afbab6a6248f6e2bcab3e68f01c04d52b0bb1f889d880ad3bc881ccb
- Burn it to a USB flash drive from a completely up-to-date Ubuntu 10.04 LTS with UNetbootin
- Install on a machine with no network connectivity
Current behaviour:
- xserver-xorg-video-all fails to install with an error message saying it was because two of its dependencies were not found: xserver-xorg-video-ati and xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
Expected behaviour:
- The install completes successfully
Thoughts:
I suspect this is because, whilst present on the iso, their filenames have been truncated:
./pool/main/x/xserver-xorg-video-ati/xserver-xorg-video-
ati_6.14.99~git20111219.aacbd629-0ubuntu2_.deb
and
./pool/main/x/xserver-xorg-video-nouveau/xserver-xorg-video-
nouveau_0.0.16+git20111201+b5534a1-1build2.deb
i.e. the filename does not end "_amd64.deb"
