Does the problem disappear when you open a Terminal and issue the
command "sudo apt-get -f install"?

Status in “apt” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I have just updated to ubuntu 14.04 and ran the update manager and installed 599 updates and it says that I need to installChanges for the versions:
  Installed version: 1.3.28-0ubuntu1~ppa1~maverick1
  Available version: 1.4-0ubuntu4


  Now the software center crashes and says that it needs repair I have
  rebooted several times with no effect.
