Title:
  incorrect documentation comment in /etc/default/rsyslog

Status in “rsyslog” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  the comment

  # -r enables logging from remote machines (deprecated, only used in
  compat mode < 3)

is no longer correct with the current version of rsyslog

Perhaps replacing that line with another comment would be better.

  # rsyslogd no longer accepts the -r option to enable remote logging.
  # instead edit /etc/rsyslogd.conf and uncomment #$ModLoad imudp
  # and #$UDPServerRun 514
