This bug was fixed in the package ubuntu-meta - 1.270

Bug description:
  Ubuntu Desktop 20120523

  The are 2 languages in the language list of Ubiquity list that show
  unicode sequences instead of correct characters. one at the top of the
  list and the other near the end. Screenshot attached
