  floppy  drive not working, ubuntu 11.10

Bug description:
  11.10,the drive I think worked up to month ago,do not use alot...detect mount seems to active drive but no files ,no nothing
   lsmod | grep floppy 
  floppy                 60310  0 
  sudo modprobe -v floppy
  nothing
