Public bug reported:

I cannot Update/upgrade Ubuntu in any way, and I also can't install ppa-
purge to remove to wayward apps.

This is the error msg that I receive:

''Could not initialise the package information

An unresolvable problem occurred while initialising the package
information.

Please report this bug for the 'update-manager' package and try to
include the following error message:

'E:Type ‘t/jcfp/ppa/ubuntu’ is not known on line 3 in source list
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/jcfp-ppa-maverick.list'''

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
