This function isn't important enough to appear inside the window, but it
would make sense as a menu item. I've now specified a "File" > "Updates
History" menu item. <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareUpdates#Menus> What
we need next is a design for the window that would open when you chose
that menu item.

** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu)

Title:
  History: add ability to view changelogs

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  In Progress

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: software-center

  It would be good if there was some way (perhaps through a pane at the
  bottom of the screen? or a right click?) to see the changelogs of
  package upgrades.

  One use case for this is to see the changelogs from security updates
  that were installed in the background. See [1].
