Title:
ext3 partition not large enough on dual boot machine
Status in “partman-auto” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
On installing Ubuntu 9.04, I let the partitioner sort out the
partitions on the drive. it created an ext3 partition of 2.5Gb. once
Ubuntu was up and running the update manager started but it couldn't
download any updates due to the "disk full". I have installed Ubuntu
on a compaq presario, with windows XP home edition already installed,
with a 300Gb HDD with there being approx 220 - 230Gb free on the HDD.
i fixed the problem by reinstalling and when got to the partitioning
stage i manually configured the partitions and created a 12Gb ext3
partition for ubuntu. (thank you to the user on IRC.freenode.net chat
who helped me with this problem, sorry i can't remember name tho)
