I've confirmed the user has Internet access, so we're stumped as to why
the Python script appears to error out when attempting to connect to the
network (as indicated by the IOError).

  New

Bug description:
  I had the same problem with 11.04.  I also couldn't download flash,
  but got around that by following a suggestion from one of the forums.
