  apt-get install git-svn hash mismatch

Status in “apt” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Just brought a new ubuntu 12.10 computer.
  executed update manager
  installed git using apt-get install git
  trying to add git-svn but encounter these problems:

  Do you want to continue [Y/n]? Y
  Get:1 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal/main libhttp-cookies-perl all 6.00-2 [23.3 kB]
  Fetched 23.3 kB in 0s (169 kB/s)                
  Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/libh/libhttp-cookies-perl/libhttp-cookies-perl_6.00-2_all.deb  Hash Sum mismatch
  E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?

  I would appreciate letting me know when this is fixed. I want to use
  git at my compnay but their revision control system is subversion.
