Confirmed. Images like
https://help.ubuntu.com/htdocs/ubuntunew/img/logo.png also fail to load.

  Installing Ubuntu page needs to be updated

Status in “installation-guide” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  When I click the "Installing Ubuntu" link in the official Ubuntu 12.04
  documentation,  I found out that it still uses the old brown colors.
  Even the Logos are missing from that page.
