Can you describe how the SSH server is set up?  Are you using password
or public/private key authenication?  What port and protocol do you have
the SSH server configured to listen to/use?

Bug description:
  when attempting to ssh into a machine running xubuntu 12.10, it permanently stalls with the following terminal output:
  $ ssh 192.168.0.4 -v
