  problem started after upgrading natty on 17 December 2010
  previous kernel 2.6.37-9 was OK
  Steps to reproduce
  1. Restart system
  2. Drum is heard; disk activity light stops blinking
  3. Screen goes to blank screen
  4. Can ping and ssh into system
