1) no:
     

2) description          "configure virtual network devices"
               emits          static-network-up
               emits          net-device-up

          start on           (local filesystems
                                     and (stopped udevtrigger or container ))

                 task

     pre-start exec mkdir -p /run/network

     exec ifup -a


3) ssh stop/waiting
    ssh start/running, process 25135


4) returns nothing

  Upstart: service networking won't start

Status in “upstart” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Network can not be started anymore (Ubntu 12.04. LTS)

  ~: sudo service networking start

  gives

  Service networking stop/waiting.

  After rebooting the system, the networking service still in same state
  but

  ~: sudo service networking start

  now brings up the following error message:

  Rejected send message, 1 matched rules: type="method_call", sender=":1.3" (uid=1000 pid=1606 comm="start networking")
  interface="com.ubuntu.Upstart0_6.Job" member="Start" error name="unset" requested reply="0" destination="com.ubuntu.Upstart" (uid=0 pid=1 com="/sbin/init")
