Bug description:
  To reproduce: 
   bzr branch lp:ubuntu/precise/duplicity

  I get the following error:
  bzr: ERROR: Revision {ken.vandine at canonical.com-20120306154942-6ot6mb74mkpgp7pk} not present in "Graph(StackedParentsProvider(bzrlib.repository._LazyListJoin(([CachingParentsProvider(None)], []))))".

  I expect the branch to be checked out on my system.

  I've reproduced this on Precise and Quantal.
