[Bug 1080962] [NEW] ubiquity installer crashes after files are copied to hard drive

Public bug reported:

Installer window closes after the copying files instruction ends,
leaving only the mouse with the loading spin graphic. Running ubiquity
in a terminal gives an "illegal instruction" output during the time that
the installer stops working.
