Affects me too, update-apt-xabian is using one core at 100% for a minute
everyday.

Version:
apt-xapian-index	0.25ubuntu2

System:
Distributor ID:	Ubuntu
Description:	Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS
Release:	10.04
Codename:	lucid

Kernel:
2.6.32-45-generic x86_64

CPU:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU U9400 @ 1.40GHz

If any more information are needed, I'd be happy to provide them.
