Title:
Asks that I write changes to disk when I haven't made any yet
Status in “partman-auto” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Status in “partman-partitioning” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: partman-auto
On the Kubuntu 8.04 RC amd64 alternate image, as well as in later
dailies, I saw the following behavior.
After selecting "entire disk" from the guided partitioning menu, and
selecting the second disk in my system, I was told that the installer
needed to write changes to disk (partman-partitioning/confirm_resize).
However, as I had not yet made any changes, this message seemed
unnecessary, and slightly unnerving as it gave the impression that
changes were pending and I could not know what they were.
