Status in “base-files” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: base-files

  Users occasionally get confused when they update to a final release
  but their grub menu still says "development branch". Perhaps base-
  files should trigger an update-grub run when lsb-release changes so
  that this gets cleaned up automatically.
