Can you re-check on 12.04 or 12.10. I've been doing persistence tests
all day and haven't seen any such problem on reboot.

Title:
persistence leads to filesystem errors on shutdown

Status in “casper” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: casper

  Hi,

When running with persistence I see lots of errors like

    end_sector, I/O Error, device /dev/sdb, sector <some number>

with a different sector for each, right at the end of shutdown (after hitting
enter when prompted to eject the CD). /dev/sdb is the USB device that
has the live image and persistence file on it.

I have reproduced this with two USB sticks on two machines, and it does
not happen without persistence being enabled.

  Thanks,

  James
