This was a while ago and casper changed a lot since then, any chance you
can try something similar, see if we improved?

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: casper

  Testing Hardy 8.04.4 point release.

  I was testing with a loop file system mounted as a floppy. Casper
  detects the file system, but it cannot mount it. Instead of ignoring
  the file system, it drops a busybox shell, without warning the user.
