Hi.

I reinstalled 12.04 because I needed the computer to work and to access
my files (which fortunately I had backed up).
But I still would like to help. May I still follow this instructions
having reinstalled 12.04?

Thank you.

Title:
Kubuntu (PPC): Reboot freezes after upgrade to 12.10 Beta 2

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I just upgraded my Kubuntu 12.04 to 12.10 Beta 2, by follwing this
  instructions.

But now, when rebooting, I find myself with a black screen stating
  :
  "Starting System V runlevel compatibility
  Starting"

Before I tried to reboot and it stated

  "stopping mount network filesystem"

The boot freezes at this point.

I am upgrading from the update manager in Kubuntu 12.04 for PowerPC.
