Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

** Visibility changed to: Public

** This bug is no longer flagged as a security vulnerability

Title:
  Kubuntu Installer crashes after taking user info

Status in “debian-installer” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I encounter this while installing Kubuntu (amd64 and x64) from live
  usb

  INSTALLER CRASHED:

  Traceback(most recent call last):
    File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/kde_ui.py",line 957,in
  on_next_clicked
       self.dbfilter.ok_handler()
    File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/plugins/ubi-usersetup.py",line806, in ok_handler
       self.ui.hostname_error(make_error_string(self.controller,errors))
  AttributeError: 'Page' object has no attribute 'controller'

  When i tried installing it with alternate cd it shows an error of apt configure failed .
  I didn't get how to enter proxy address with authentication though i tried all possible cases with it.
  It would be better if you guys can put up some king of tutorial for apt-proxy settings .

  Finally I installed 32 bit edition where the installer worked good but not the system it was not able to fetch any apt repositories
  the muon update manager was not able to check for updates also.

  Earlier to all these when I had my system running good there was a
  problem like the screen used to stop display every ten seconds though
  i have made the required changes in the power options.(hoping an virus
  effect SECURITY vulnerability)
